This UNESCO World Heritage Site is an ancient church in Old Goa. It is an unmatched example of Baroque architecture and was raised in 1605. The layout of the church is simple yet fascinating. The mortal remains of the missionary Saint Francis Xavier displayed here remain the most fascinating lure for travellers visiting Basilica de Bom Jesus.

The splendid looking Dudhsagar Waterfalls of Goa are 60 kilometres away from Panjim. Enjoy a day picnic here to explore the beauty of this India’s fifth-highest waterfall cascading from a height of 310 metres. Travellers can partake in swimming or rock climbing here apart from cherishing the forest around the waterfall by taking a jeep from the nearby villages.

This museum exhibits how the Indian Navy evolved over the years. The museum has an indoor gallery and an outside exhibit. Chapora Fort tells a lot about the history Portuguese rule in Goa. It was built by the Portuguese in 1617 to protect their territories from the Marathas. Marathas conquered the fort twice; however, Portuguese again acquired it in 1892. Today it stands in ruins but offers splendid panoramic views of Anjuna beach, Chapora beach and Vagator beach.

This beautiful church of Goa flaunts Corinthian style and has been built of laterite blocks. This World Heritage Site exhibits four statues of Saints Peter, Paul, John the Evangelist and Matthew. Here you can see seven altars, including the main altar dedicated to Our Lady of Providence.

This 17th century Portuguese Fort was raised as a protection from Dutch and Marathas. The walls of this fort are so strong that they guarded the Portuguese for more than 400 years. From here you can catch beautiful views of Arabian Sea.

Raised in 1599 by Viceroy Francisco da Gama, the Viceroy’s Arch is a beautiful archway which was once the main entry gate to Old Goa. The arch was raised in the memory of Vasco da Gama, the well-known explorer. The arch has striking statues of Vasco da Gama and St. Catherine. Viceroy’s Arch that you see today was rebuilt in 1954 after the main structure collapsed in 1948.
