This place abounds in natural splendor and famous for its temples and ghats.

On the sixth day after visiting several beautiful destinations, we reached Yamunotri. There we took Holi Dip in Garam Kund and visited the shrine of Goddess Yamunotri. On the tenth day, we reached Kedarnath. This is a beautiful destination situated amidst a wide plateau surrounded by snow covered peaks. It is said that the present temple was built in 18th century A.D. by Adi Shankracharya next to the site of an earlier temple which was built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with fixtures of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door, a large statue of the Nandi bull stands as a guard.

And finally on 13th day of our tour we reached Badrinath. It is situated in the lap of Nar-Narayan Parvat at an elevation of 3,133 meters above sea level.
